Gray Wall Mountains Ambush

The Gray Wall Mountains Ambush was a minor battle between the two opposing foces in Glacierheart Province. The main goal of Mahkhom's band of fighters was to secure the food stores being transported through the mountain passes. Failure to succed for either side meant certain starvation throughout the remainder of the winter. (MTAT)

PreludeEdit

Since the begining of the Siddarmark Civil War, there had been massacres, committed by both sides. Villages had been burned, civilians murdered and food stores destroyed. With the onset of winter, farm fields had been covered in snow and what few remaining resources had been contested bitterly.

Ambushes, and quick hit and run raids had soon become the most common form of combat in Glacierheart Province. Mahkhom's Guerrillas had over the course of the civil war had become quite adept at concealment, and had prepared long in advance to ensure victory, and more importantly, to secure the food suplies. Course of BattleEdit

The actual combat was quite short, Mahkhom's Guerrillas used the element of surprise and attacked quickly. Several of their opponents were either killed or seriously injured within moments. Several draft animals were injured in the course of fighting as well. (MTAT)

AftermathEdit

Once the fighting ceased Mahkhom's Guerrillas ensured that the injured animals were dispatched quickly; they also did not take any prisoners, not just because of the savageness of warfare that had been achived in the province, but also because they lacked the food stuff to support any captured combatants. Once the sleds were secured, Mahkhom's band of fighters stripped the dead and quickly departed.
