Klymynt Myllyr was a Siddarmarkian citizen and politician.
Myllyr had dark hair, dark eyes, and a badly scarred left cheek only partially concealed behind his full beard.
He was born in Tarikah Province and had served as a junior officer in one of the Army regiments involved in the desperate fighting retreat on Serabor. He’d fought with enormous tenacity until he was severely wounded and invalided back to Siddar City just before the Imperial Charisian Army relieved Serabor. While he was recuperating, he’d been appointed as senior staff quartermaster to Seneschal Parkair. He'd ended his military service as a colonel.
In Year of God 906, Myllyr served as Chancellor of the Exchequer under Lord Protector Henrai Maidyn. Although no fool, he was mostly selected for political reasons: he was unshakeably loyal to Maidyn; his wartime service in the Stylmyn Gap made him popular/acceptable in the eastern provinces; and his origins in Tarikah made him popular/acceptable in the western provinces.
The Charisian government believed his appointment meant that in practical terms Maidyn served would be his own Chancellor; Maidyn would continue to set policy and make the critical strategic decisions for the Exchequer and Myllyr would (quite happily) concentrate on carrying out those decisions. More like a chief of staff than a minister in his own right.
Upon Maidyn's assassination, he became lord protector.
