The Order of Hastings was based upon the Archangel Hastings, and was the most junior and least powerful of the great orders of the Church of God Awaiting. (OAR)
It was a teaching order, producing the vast majority of Safehold's cartographers and surveyors. Hastingites provided most of the officially sanctioned astronomers.
The order's colors were a checkered pattern of green, brown, and blue, and its symbol was a compass. (HFAF)
