The Sickle Shoal was a small sandbank located to the north of the city of Iythria. Located upon it was the West Gate. (map)
Built upon it was powerful and expensive fortifications known as the Sickle Shoal Fortress, designed to protect the approaches to Iythria. In August of the Year of God 895, during the Iythria Raid, these were destroyed by rounds from Bombardment galleons. (HFAF)
